The Valtellina knows Nebbiolo—and expresses it in a way uniquely its own. Grown on steep, sun-drenched terraced slopes nestled in the Lombardian Alps, the grape goes by its local name here, Chiavennasca, offering cool elegance, crisp alpine freshness, and pure mountain character.

Together, we’ll taste selected bottles from Boffalora, Hermau, Sandro Fay, and Terrazzi Alti. Journeying through the valley from Valgella and Sassella to Castione Andevenno, we’ll trace Chiavennasca’s expression through four distinctive winemaking styles. The tasting will be complemented by a traditional spread of regional cheeses, cured meats, and risotto.
